First Class: How Elizabeth Lange Built a School 

From the time she was a young girl growing up in Haiti, Elizabeth Lange knew the importance of education and how it could improve people’s lives. Elizabeth wanted everyone to have the opportunity to go to school, and she worked to make that possible, starting one of the first schools for Black children in the United States.
