Summer Edward
Summer Edward writes for both young readers and adults. Her children's book debut, The Wonder of the World Leaf, was published by HarperCollins UK in 2021. She is also the author of eight children's books published by Heinemann and a contributor to several anthologies. Edward created Anansesem, an online magazine covering Caribbean literature for young readers, which was published for a decade. For her 14 years of advocacy for more and better Caribbean representation in children’s and YA literature, Edward was dubbed "the doyenne of Caribbean children's books" by British literary journalist Polly Pattullo, Hon. FRSL.
Summer is available for in-person and/or virtual events and visits. She is located in Florida.
